Online courses

Grade 9-12 students can take the following courses online from anywhere. All that's needed is an internet connection.  Take 1 or 2 of the following.

  • CALM - Career and Life Management
  • Phys Ed 10, 20, and 30
  • Religious Studies 15, 25, and 35

Online Complementary Courses - the details

Online Complimentary Courses: July 2 - July 24, 2024

The following courses can be completed online from home or from wherever you have an internet connection (we hope you're someplace fantastic!).  Take 1 or 2 of the following courses.

Attendance requirements - July 2nd, 2024: Mandatory Online Orientation
Students will be scheduled in a 1.5-hour orientation course taken online on June 30; students will be shown how to do an online course with GSACRD Summer School and will receive 1 credit towards their high school diploma. This time is extremely valuable, as it ensures that logins and access to course materials work for each student. Students will then communicate with their teachers via email. The courses can be accessed and completed from anywhere - as long as students can access the internet.

CALM
All CALM students can complete the course online after completing the orientation. There are daily assignments, and all work must be completed by July 19.

A teacher is available for virtual support from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Religious Studies
Students can complete the course online AFTER completing the mandatory orientation.Students must complete a mandatory 7.5 hours of service.

Please have a supervisor sign this form confirming the hours completed.

Phys Ed
All online Phys Ed students can complete the course online. There are approximately 10 assignments and an activity log, where students must report 32 hours of completed activity for a 3-credit course and 64 hours of activity for a 5-credit course. Students must also complete a 2-hour leadership activity of their choice.

Students may contact their teacher online through school email or virtually between 8 a.m. and 1:30 pm on summer school days.
